Why Join ELS?

Your future is more than grades—it’s a lifelong pursuit of wisdom and growth. The Examined Life Scholars Program (ELS) invites rising high school seniors to think critically, reflect deeply, and expand their potential through two immersive weeks of learning and discovery at Baylor University.

Held June 7–18, 2026, the residential program engages students in seminar-style discussions, personal reflection, and community exploration. Through engaging classes led by Baylor faculty and mentorship from Honors College students, participants sharpen their minds, strengthen their character, and gain confidence for the journey ahead.

Who Can Participate

The Examined Life Scholars Program is open to rising high school seniors (current juniors) from Waco and surrounding areas who want to challenge themselves through an intentional, college-level academic experience.
